Hi, I am
Linda! πŸ‘‹

I am passionate about data, design & code. My mission is to make complex things simple. A source of inspiration for me is being a mom. I regularly gather data about my kids (2 y/o and a newborn) for data side projects.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» From Physics to Data Science

My background is in Physics and Biomedical Engineering. What I liked about physics was the broad range you could apply it to, while requiring going in depth at the same time. Perfect for me, a specialized generalist. However, what I disliked was the heavy focus on research. I missed the human aspect. The people, users, and interaction.

🧠 Complex Data Products

After my studies, I started working for Nedap. A company where we develop innovative tech products with a people-centered approach. It's where my obsession with data and user interaction started. I got the chance to develop myself in various roles ranging from Data Science, UX to Product Management. I especially like to work on complex data products where interaction plays an important role.

This journey wouldn't have been possible without the great content from others online. Since this has been so extremely helpful, this motivates me to share my learnings as well. Reading the book Show Your Work! opened my eyes to this.

πŸ‘ΆπŸ» Parenthood & Self-Improvement

One of the biggest challenges in my learning journey was becoming a mom. I am the proud mother of an almost 2-year-old, and a newborn. That means I spent my leisure time mostly on diapers, nightly awakenings in combination with feeling physically exhausted, irregular rhythms, etc. It makes you realize how easy learning was without having kids ;)

Nonetheless, this also has motivated me to spend the limited amount of time I have efficiently. I want to spend it on the things that matter most to me: learning and teaching.

🎀 Love to share more

I enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others. Writing and creating content is my creative outlet. I also like to present about the topics I write about. Feel free to contact me via social media!
